After Christmas Update

Its me, Apple again. That is me on the left and Peaches on the right. I didn't really want to sit still for the picture though. I know these updates will help me find my perfect fur-ever home. What a fun Christmas!!! My foster mom put two presents under the tree for me, a toy and duck and potato treats. Those were so good. I can't wait to get another one. Today I went for a short walk, I did very well on a leash, but I am so friendly I want to stop and let everyone pet me. A group of kids came to pet me and I didn't want them to stop. I love kids! I also found out I love plain yogurt in my food and canned Natural Blance food. I am finally putting some weight on and now my fur is very soft. Also today I decided to rearrange all of my foster moms laundry. I didn't tear or bite any of it, but I really liked carrying it in my mouth, like many pointers do. My foster mom didn't get angry, she hid the laundry, but gave me a small towel to carry around. As much fun as I am having here and as much as I love my foster family, I'd love to get a fur-ever family in the new year. I am a young, full of energy, happy and lovable little pointer, do you have a home I can call my own?

Another Update...

Hi, its me Apple (Wilma) again. My foster mom wanted to get one last up date on her before the holidays come. I heard I have a present under the tree. I can't wait. Hope its something good! The past two days my foster mom and I have spent a lot of time together. She has learned a few things about me. I know my name is Apple. I come when she says, "Apple come". I'm learning when she says, "Apple House" to go into a crate. My cough it getting much better. Now that I'm done with my medicine I want to play all the time, even more then before. She said I wore Socrates out. I love love love toys. I get very upset when I'm scolded. I was only scolded once. I got a little confused, I thought a stuffed animal was a toy for me to play with. I pace when I have to go out. No accidents! I only barked once so far, everyone else was barking at a stranger, so I did too. And I love to lay in my foster moms lap. She tells me all the time what a good girl I am and that she loves me. There are two non-fur kids here. One is a 12 year old girl. She is nice, she let me lay on her bed today and take a nap, There is a 9 years old boy here too, today he gave me a few extra treats when he thought my foster mom wasn't looking. Well, that's it for now, check back soon!

Update...

Hi, its me, Wilma again, or as my foster mom calls me, Apple. She tells me I look just like Peaches her adopted IBR dog. http://amyspeaches.blogspot.com/ Peach is tons of fun, little bossy sometimes, but I don't mind. So to update you, I went on an overnight trip with my foster mom and dad and foster sisters and brother. We spent the night at a house that had 4 dogs!!! Imagine all the fun I had! Everywhere I turned there was a dog for me to play with. I just love other dogs. Two of them came from the rescue too! I slept in a crate and was fine all night. Went out in the morning did my business and came back in. But I did get a little afraid when I heard a few loud noises, but my foster mom told me I would be fine and we kept walking. Also I am eating well and taking my medicine. Just a little cough and I'll be fine in a day or two. Mom tells me I taking medicine, I don't know where she is hiding it, but I did find out. I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER!!! YUM!!! Well, I am tired now, another busy day. Check back soon for another update. Remember, check out the other IBR dogs too! http://illinoisbirddogrescue.org/

Hi, my name is Wilma. I'm a liver and white English Pointer. I just came from a shelter. I was found as a stray, nobody came to get me, I was sad in the shelter. Now that I am out and in IBR I need a fur-ever home. I don't know how old I am and everyone thinks something different, the foster mom here thinks about 2 years old. I love kids, they are a lot of fun. The foster mom keeps telling me a I'm a good girl and beautiful, last night I climbed in her lap and curled up. I don't try to get on the couches or the beds though, I slept in a crate. I didn't make a peep until she came to let me out in the morning. Check out the rest of my blog...

I am going to need basic obedience. The foster mom here asked me to sit, but I'm not sure what that means. But The other dogs do something and get a treat, so I going to figure it out. I go to the bathroom outside. I haven't barked at anything yet. I don't try to eat other dogs food and I like being in a crate to relax. I get nervous when the door on the crate closes, but I settle down quickly and I'm a little shy when I come back out after the door opens, but if you leave the door open I'll walk in and out and nap in there. I'm a little tired, having a busy day and all coming from a shelter, going to the vet, and coming to a new home. But after I wake up I'm full of energy and I want to play!

I love to play with other dogs as you can see. I may be little, only 36 lbs. and I need to gain some weight, but I like playing with big dogs. Socrates is 85lbs and I have been playing with him since I got here. There are three other dogs here too. Peaches, an adopted IBR and Fala another adopted IBR are here to. They are English Pointers too and we have been having a lot of fun. I might be to much energy for an older dog. There is a 13 yr old dog here and I keep trying to play with her, but she snapped at me.

Make sure to check out all the dogs on the website. http://illinoisbirddogrescue.org/We all need loving homes.
